About
The Holmen Area Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, documenting, and sharing the history and heritage of Holmen and the surrounding area. Under the guidance of Betty Sacia, the society maintains historical records, photographs, and artifacts dating back to Holmen's founding by Norwegian settlers in 1862. The organization hosts educational programs, community events, and works to ensure that Holmen's unique story — from Frederickstown to the thriving community of today — is preserved for future generations.
